7 Easy Healthy Snacks You Can Eat
I am sure that everyone loves snacking but how do you keep healthy snacks around the house? If you are like me (yes I do keep a stash of snacks, especially when I am at work) then you need to learn about the healthy snacks that you need to be eating. What’s the best part about that? Well, it helps you get your nutrients and saves you from snapping off your co-workers head. Who even does that? Seriously bro don’t talk to me when I’m working.
Healthy Snacks
Eating healthier is not rocket science, think about licking the inside of the lays chip bag. Then make sure to snap the rubber band on your wrist for thinking bad thoughts! (Even tho my tongue has seen the inside a chip bag) Hey, Don’t Judge!  It was a bad time in my life. We’ve just been conditioned to think that junk stuff is good and we don’t care what it does to us. You must be wondering whether I am bullshitting ya or do I have a point? Well let’s get straight to the point; you need to eat healthier!, capishe? Yes, I am the godfather of dieting!

Here’s the deal: here are the best healthy snacks that you should be munching down on if you don’t want to be sleeping with the fishes.

1. Anything from Yevo – light, with 26g of protein, what more do you need?

What hell is a Yevo? Well, Yevo is a company that is focused and devoted to getting us our 43 Essential nutrients daily.  So they created a food line that contains them and much more. They have a ton of great snacks and meals and are coming out with more and more. It would take a mound of food to get even remotely close to where one Yevo meal will get you. They started with items like oatmeal, breakfast rice, smoothies, frijoles, and mash potatoes.  So that will give you a good base to start your day or for a side for your main meals. Thats a little break down of what all these nutrients do you.  Absolutely amazing what these little bosses can do for you.  If you haven’t checked it out, I definitely recommend you do.

2. Salmon or tuna – Just George Forman those bad boys!!

Just looking at the omega 3’s as the benefit from these beauty’s, there are a ton of other huge benefits that fall by the way side. Salmon has bioactive peptides which will help you with those squeaky joints better than a can of that WD-40. They will help with the insulin, inflammation, and the digestive track. The trick is finding the wild caught salmon and not the salmon that’s farmed. Main reason is the level of mercury in farm raised fish is really starting to raise concern on weather or not healthy.

3. Peanut butter – mmm, just the thought of delicious peanut butter gets me slobbering

That’s right.. A bodybuilders ice cream. Not that I’m a bodybuilder but peanut butter has been the go to guy for a long time.  Tons of benefits like cutting down your hunger while dieting. Maybe able to reduce the risk of colon cancer PB contains Niacin which has shown to help in fighting Alzheimers.  (Here’s the Study) Full of some of that healthy fat Monounsaturated fat.  Which have been shown to help the heart.

4. Fresh fruits – the standard healthy snack. (Or so we thought)

These old guys have been around since the beginning of time.  And yeah they’re healthy. But heres the deal with Fruit and Vegetables:  We’ve been growing and growing and growing right. They has so many labels and different hybrids.  I wonder what Noah would say if you asked him what a Granny Smith apple was. Just saying.  Seed companies are worried about the bottom line right.  They sell seeds to the farmer that are now round up tolerant.  So now the farmer can spray for weeds right on top and and not worry about killing that plant. You tell me… Where are we heading our produce?

5. Dried fruits – careful some can be packed with sugar.

Yes, but you have choose your dried fruits wisely. Dried fruit is just fresh fruit with the water removed. So Dehydration, can cause some nutrients to become more potent. A 2005 study in Journal of the American College of Nutrition revealed that antioxidants in dried cranberries, grapes, and plums are twice as potent as those in the fresh fruits. But before you go all dried-fruit diet: A dried apricot is a fraction of the size of a fresh one, but the two pack the same number of calories and amount of sugar. We eat with our eyes so looking down at the tiny dried apricot, just remember it’s just as potent an regular.  So don’t kill that whole bag thinking your all healthy. Watch out for added sweeteners like sugar and corn syrup, particularly in cherries and cranberries. Also, take note of the ingredient list: Only the fruit should be listed. Look for packages that say “no sulfites,” a preservative that maintains color. Dried fruit shouldn’t look like the original; while it might not be pretty, brown and shriveled is your best bet. Remember: Dried fruit is not candy, so it shouldn’t taste like it is.

6. Nuts – Ha! Just made ya say nuts! Try thinking almonds, pistachios and peanuts!

7. Dark chocolate – oh boy! Don’t get me started on my love for this! (Moderate)

When it comes to healthy snacking, you need to eat everything in the right portions and at the right times. No, it’s not good to eat a pint of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream at 2 am. Healthy snacking is all about the servings and the amounts that you’re scarfing down. Too much of something can always turn out to be bad.  Moderate…

“Food is an important part of a balanced diet.” – Fran Lebowitz

As simple as that sounds.  How many people tell you to have a supplement in articles like this.  Food is always a better vehicle to get your nutrients. The healthy snacks that I have mentioned are all nutritious and filled with energy, but they have got nothing on the new organic diet that has been launched by Yevo.  (Thinking they all bad!) Here’s the bottom line with Yevo:  Their foods are organic, Non-GMO, Gluten Free, Contain your 43 essential nutrients, and are full of protein.  So when you eat these snacks you be left full and satisfied.  Not wiping your greasy hands on the side of couch before the big nap. I know… you’re wondering if all the goodness is in one snack it must taste like cardboard with whip cream on top. Think again buddy. The entire Yevo line is really quite tasty.  Little bean dip for the big game anyone? You bet your ace!  Got that covered with Yevo Frijoles. So if you are obsessed about eating healthy and want to know what snacks to have, check out my Yevo program and snack away! Bon appétit!
