Having Kids and Making Money

Do you think it’s possible to have kids and make money – at the same time? Most people who have kids will tell you this: they take a lot out of you. They take time, money, energy, and every ounce of patience you have. So how is it possible to do both?

I started working in online marketing because I wanted to be a better father. I wanted to be around more for my kids and traditional “boss man” jobs weren’t allowing that. There are too many restrictions on your time and schedule when you work for someone else.

You can’t just leave work because your kid needs something and that’s hard for a parent. I remember how guilty I would feel knowing my son had a bad cold and we had to get him off to daycare anyway.

Building my online marketing businesses I had to be focused on a lot of things – choosing a good vehicle for my investment, time and energy; using the right technology and tools; finding a good support network. But driving the whole process was my belief that my kids would only be little once, and I wanted to be available for them. Family is really important.

So I made the transition into a home business, wanting to put my focus where I knew it was right.

Never in a million years did I think I would also make money. Don’t know why. Just assumed it wouldn’t be profitable, just good for the family. Guess what? An at home online business can be both. And I love my kids but I like making money too.

Online marketing these days can be easy and efficient. You can join ongoing businesses almost as an independent contractor, provide advertising and marketing for them and make as much (or little) as you want. I joined up with companies that had plenty of techno support – like Yevo International for example – and got the ball rolling.

I can set up automatic systems to post ads, for example, and then go pick the kids up from school. I can play with them during the day and make money while they sleep (sometimes I even make money while I sleep!) One of the best features of an online at home marketing business is how well I can control my time and schedule.

I can be available when the kids or wife need me, and when I work I work – but often in my sweatpants.

Used to be a dad left for work before the kids went to school, came home late for dinner and was too tired to help with homework. That’s not the way I want to roll and you don’t have to either. But the good news – the GREAT news – is you don’t have to sacrifice income for family. You work with these online business systems?

You stay on top of things and keep improving your market reach? You’re gonna make money.

So when that cute little toddler becomes a teen and says “Dad, can I have $10?” you can tell him, “Get a job!”
